What would happen if someone with dark brown/ black hair put box of light blonde hair color on their hair? Nothing I want lol just was wondering. I'm guessing their hair would turn red or orange?

Yes you're correct. It would most likely turn orangy or reddish.
If you want to go blonde you would need to first use bleach. bleaching to the pale yellow stage like the inside of a banana. A darker blonde color can be achieved if you bleach to the color of the outside of the banana.

It's always annoyed me that people could think that you can dye your hair blonde the same way you dye it brown. And who try to strip the blonde out of their hair to return brown. It's bleach people!
