This is a long and somewhat confusing read, so bear with me... I just felt like letting off some steam.
Here is a thread from a while back, which is basically me whining about my hair type and how I desperately want to grow my hair long. http://talk.hairboutique.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=53056 - http://talk.hairboutique.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=53056
Well, I now have my hair at that length and style, but the Brazilian Keramine straightening procedure that I got in August is wearing off and the back and around the ears on the sides are starting to regain that wavy-curl thing that happens on me. I can't afford to do the straightening again, so I have a few questions for you:
1. My hair, even though it's long now, doesn't really flow freely on the back and sides. Like if I were to shake my head side to side the front and top would fly around but the back and sides would just sit there. Is that something to do with the thickness? It just annoys me how on some guys the hair falls freely everywhere, but on me it stays pressed against my neck (for the back) and against the side of my head (for the sides).
2. Is there any way to tame the curls on the back and sides? A product (that actually works)? I've seen that biosilk stuff and straightening balms but I can imagine those doing a whole lot of nothing.
3. The other thing that bothers me about my long hair is that it doesn't naturally part like the guy in the first photo. In order to do this I have to put some sort of product in my hair and mold it into that shape (parting it in the middle and pulling it back a little), then when it's dry I can straighten it and blow dry it and everything else. So can other people with the same style as pictured just shower and comb their hair and have it fall naturally like that?
4. Do those wet-to-straight irons work?
Thanks in advance, I appreciate the help alot!
