Hello, I'd like to know if this hair style can be accomplished on my son:

He has mostly straight dark hair that is long enough to create most styles with. I'm not sure if I can convert the drawing to real-life, though.

Thanks for any help! Smile

Its certainly not going to look exactly like a cartoon, but you can get it pointy and a similar shape.  After the hair is cut into that shape, but a little longer than you want it to wind up, use the scissors vertically. Meaning point the last inch of the ends of the scissors straight upwards into the hair..  Picture 90 degrees (straight up), then cut with inch inch of the scissor ends at angles 5-10 degrees to the left and right of that (80 degrees one way, 100 degrees the other way) to make the points.  I do this to my bangs to keep them from looking blunt cut-straight across.  It will remove some of the length and thin the ends.

To get that wet piecy look, use a small amount of gel on the ends and shape more pointy if necessary.  This will likely not look very natural with the gel in it, but that may be what he wants.  Mousse may look lighter and more natural, but will not hold as well.
