Hi
I am still a newby since I am on my 1st set of hair still.
the lady I got my extensions from said they should last up to yr with proper care. I have been using the shampoo/conditioner the said too.
I got these 2 tracks of weft in July and has them sewed in by her and now just lg/tape myself.
but now the bottom track under the weft, in the back under my neck immediately tangles and mattes up with little movement of my head.
no matter how much conditioner, or how many times I comb it perfectly flat. that area just kinda curls up and gets all tangled by itself, looking awful. only in that 1 big area.
since I put a ponytail there everynight, could it be damage from the tightness of the rubber band over the 6 months I have had them?
Maybe a year like she said is not realistic. How long shoudldhair last?
mine was Italian custom made to my color.

I agree with Addy. Rubber bands can be tough on hair. Even the ones that are supposed to be gentle and not snag seem to. What I do with my hair each night is evenly divide it and then do two braids down the sides. I do them as tight as I can so they hold together and then just use little jaw clips to secure them at the bottoms. Jaw clips won’t snag or pull out any hair and they are tight enough to stay in over night provided you don’t toss and turn like crazy. I get up in the morning, untwist the braids and no tangles at all, even up near my scalp and neck its fine. Then I have a nice wave from the braids or if you want it straight, you just need to style in the morning and flatten it out but you wont have any bad tangles to contend with.
It could also be a problem with the placement of your tracks and nothing to do with the hair. Maybe she went a little to low on your neck and it’s just an area prone to matting. That’s a possibility. I’ve seen nice Italian hair and also, not so nice. Just a color treatment should not cause major problems but the more processing that has been done to the hair prior to install, the more potential problems. Processed hair doesn’t automatically mean a disaster but any chemical treatments can cause more tangling or effect the longevity of the hair. I would try having that lowest track redone that is causing you grief and see if that helps. If not, it could be the hair and it may not be the best. |

i dont use the office rubber bands but the ones in the hairstyle area that, so offical ponytail holders like she said to do.
but from now on I will try the loose braids on the sides. It was Remy so she said.
I'll try these tips and see, if not, I will have to invest in a new batch.
