Today, i just got a hair cut from the barbershop on post. I usually dont go there but my regular barber was all booked up because of Christmas time etc. Well, I told the guy a #2 wtg and a temp. fade on the sides and back. Basically, he f**ked me up. I was so dissatisfied i got the clippers i got and cut my own hair with a #2. It looked pretty good, and i was using a 3-way mirror, but really didnt know how to line my self up. Does anyone have any tips on that?

Well i use a straight razor (what some barbers use) and a hand held mirror (for the back). doing it this way is worth it  after u finally master the technique

Warning: this takes practice! you will cut yourself for the first few trys (u have to get used to using the blade, but the cut won't be bad and they'e painless...until u put alcohol on it...but man up nigguh. lol). Let me know how it turns out...and oh; take ur time.

yup, its extremely worth it
its all about semetry patience, concentration and practice
make ur line with the clippers first
THEN after that edge it up even closer with the straight edge
i knicked myself the first time, it didnt hurt
then i cut above my eyebrow , and i cut my thumb
like 2 days, and i havent cut myself since then.
the small cuts arent gonna leave scars though, its like the blades so sharp, its like a docters scallop (is that the right tool?)
things super shapr! dont play around with em

I might get some really nice Andis Clippers for Christmas, and I was wondering would that be good enough. But I was thinking maybe got to the barber shop to have a very visible line, and then just cut of all of the loose hairs as soon as they grow back. Would this be ok?

Take pics of your hair after you get a cut or lining you like. Then just mimic the pic.

Yeah, be careful with the razor I remember when I got mine I open the package put in a blade and started flipping the thing back and forth next thing you know I scratch the side of my nose,go to the bathroom look in the mirror and had a blood stain on my face.I hadn't noticed I had slit my finger then I touched my face. All in all, just be careful.

Also try to go to page 2 or 3 in the topics you might find a video posted up by Christian.
