I recently just got a 1" trim and it has done wonders for my hair. It's been a month since that trim and I'm just starting to see new split ends (just a few) so my quetion is, do you think it would be best to "search and destroy" these new splits? Or wait till my scheduled next trim which is january 21st?
I'm a natural dirty blonde, I get a 9N 40 volume highlift applied to my roots every month and starting 1" trims every 2 months.

I would just S&D those splits.
And it would seem to me that if you trim an inch every two months, you won't see any change in your length.  Aren't you just cutting off your new growth?  I barely cut off an inch in a year!

Hair averages 1/2 inch growth per month.  Gypsydoll is right, you won't gain length that way.  Try trimming 1/2 inch or less every 2 months.  I trim mine about 1/4 inch every 2 or 3 months.
