I have dark hair down my back which i had been dyeing black for a few months so i stopped!!! i have not put a dye on my hair for 6 months and it is growing out i would like blonde highlites in my hair but went to the hairdressers and they said tha my hair would go ginger is ther anything i can do?? or is there a way of getting the rest of the dark colour out of my hair?

I had really dark dye in my hair, almost black, and when I went lighter I just got highlights. My hair was a bit ginger, but next time I went back for more highlights It lighted to blonde. Some people would recommend stripping the colour first.

Yes,I agree about the stripping the color first thing. You could try color oops.It is supposed to make getting out dark dyes a breeze.
