I'm a 20 year old dude with very short hair that has recently tried to color his hair black with no result  I've tried to color my hair from light brown twice now and both times the hair color just washed off straight away. I've followed the instructions, applied the color and waited 20 minutes before washing the hair, the 2nd time I waited longer but that didn't help either. I also haven't used any conditioners or anything prior to dying, only shampooing it and make sure it's clean. What's the catch? What am I doing wrong?
