If you have headlice I think the only thing that you would have to do is take out your hair extensions.

Since lice like to live close to the scalp, I'm guessing you will probably have to remove your extensions. That tiny little comb that you use with a lice treatment must be used all the way up at the scalp and combed through to the bottom of your hair. I would make darn sure you have them, though, before going through the trouble, and expense of taking out your extensions.

You can try hairspray, It'll smother them. Make sure you clean all of your bed linens, towels and chairs incase they've spread.

head lice can be a real pain if you dont get it removed all the way-

first like mentioned above, make sure u do have them. if u do, you will need to get the over the counter lice shampoo. depending on if u have a few or a lot will determine if u need to take them all out. they mostly like the warmer areas of heads- behind ears and at the nape-(neck area)
you will also need to wash ALL your bedding and pillows in Hot water.
vaccum bed and room. Any stuffed animals need to be put in trash bags and left out in garage for 30 days to kill them.
do two treatments of the shampoo just to make sure-
good luck.

DON'T USE THE LICE SPOO ON YOUR EXTENSIONS. IF YOU THINK THEY MIGHT BE INFECTED PUT THE EXTENSIONS IN A PLASTIC BAG AND PUT THEM IN THE FREEZER FOR A WEEK.
OR, YOU CAN ZIP THEM IN AN AIR TIGHT BAG AND LEAVE THEM OFF FOR 2 WEEKS. THE LICE SHAMPOO IS VERY CAUSTIC AND WILL PROBABLY RUIN YOUR EXTENSIONS.
IF THE WEFTS ARE INFECTED YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE NITS TO HATCH AND DIE BEFORE YOU PUT THE EXTENSIONS BACK IN.
THESE BUGGERS COULD PRACTICALLY LIVE THROUGH AN ICE AGE.
