          | I have posted on this board before with - `selfcut for a guy` asking for tips in cutting my own hair.
I came close to cutting my hair with scissors today although stopped and thought about asking one last question on this board.

I am to start a new job on Monday in office admin, and my hair is shoulder length. Is it acceptable to wair my hair in a ponytail as I do when I got out mostly or does this seem too femaine and not professional enough for this type of job. As this is a new job I don`t want to start with long hair and then cut it a week later - so I only have 3 days to decide. I have decided if I do cut it myself to use scissors, as clippers would make it too short and I`m quite confident with scissors. So my question is -should I wear my hair in a ponytail - or cut it short myself with scissors?

          | Hey Ian - Since you already got the job, you must have went
in for an interview, right? Didn`t they notice your hair at that time? Since it is an office admin. job they hired you for your office skills not your hair length. I`m sure if they had a problem with it at the interview, they would/should have said something.
As far as a ponytail goes, just try to keep it neat looking. If you are comfortable with a ponytail, then go for it.
 Congrats on your new job.

 Keep Smilin`
 Dorothy :)

          | Thanks for your reply - although it`s not what my employer thinks - it`s if it is suitable in general.
