Every day, I straighten my hair with a blow-dryer and straightening iron, and then curl the ends under. My hair is fine and layered, so I have to curl all the layers or it looks too flat Then I apply some Aveda Anti-Humectant pomade, and finish off with Frizz-Ease Moisture Barrier hairspray. My problem is, my curl almost completely falls out by the middle of the day, and it lacks body. The layers don`t help any, and I`m growing them out. Until then, are there any tricks or products that help hold curl longer? I`ve tried the Biolage Thermal Actif Spray, which helps a little but not much. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

erm,,.... if your looking for some body for your hair.... apply a good mousse, suchas salon selectives or frizz ease mousse, and then a good straightening serum, suchas Tigi Straight talk.
The mousse should give greater body to your hair, and the straightening serum should give long lasting hold to your curly-ended styled hair (",)

Are your layers just inthe front? if not why curl them under... try culring them out for more of a trendy look. Also try one of the new waxes on the ends. My GF used wax one day on an afternoon road trip that turned into an overnighter. The next day, her hair looked (almost) as god as the day before.

Is your hair find and straight? If so, I am not sure why you are using a straightening iron. There really isn`t much you can do with adding body to fine hair. The products designed to do that will just make fine hair flatter, especially the waxes and pommades. I have very fine hair and have found that hairspray is the best thing for maintaining curl. I like Bain de Terre aerosols the best but some of the cheaper drug store brands work well too -- you have to experiment as some of them are too heavy too.

I wish I had straight hair! My hair is very wavy and sometimes curly, so that`s why I use the straightening iron to control the waves and frizz. Maybe I`ll try some wax... I bought some once, but didn`t really use it. I could try it again though. Maybe I`ll try another hairspray as well, to see if that holds the style. I`ve heard Sebastian Shaper is really good, has anyone had any luck with that?
Thanks!
