So I decided to order some of the last stock of D-Lux with some LG. This is hair is so much better than my indian hair off ebay, I can tell already. When I recieved them I thought, maybe I should of gotten another package. But I used every last peice (3.6 oz) and I think it worked out okay since I have really short, thinned, razored hair.
The color I ordered was a light aubrun, definately not my color. So, I colored them black-brown and left some auburn to do some front highlights. It's my first time using LG, and I love it. A week so far, and not a weft end lifting in sight. Hopefully it's not as messy to remove as the bbs latex!
Anyways, here are some pictures!
Before
First Track so far!
After
And just for laughs since I'm a cosmo student!

That's Brilliant............way funny picture.....your our new poster child for extensions.
They should post your picture in your school. It is so true...we need multiple sets of hands with all that we girls do with our hair.

I love the hair!!! So you just put the LG on the weft and attached it to your hair? How fair from the scalp did you place them? And lastly, how many tracks did you do? Thanks :)

Thank you! & Yup, that's exactly what I did. It's kind of revolutionary, isn't it? lol
Anyways, I just put it up as far as I could but certainly not on my scalp! About a half inch, or wherever the weft feels like being glued to because I don't use a mirror while doing the back lol. I have to do it all with sense of touch. It takes practice. I had my bf help me the first time I put them in.
And I have about 5 rows (3.6 oz). I start real high up at the nape, almost to the top of my ears. Seems like those little baby hairs at the nape don't like to hold on to glue that well lol.

Thank you all, ladies :)
A week and 3 days since install (I've only washed three times). There are some weft ends that are sparse, but not yet seperated, so probably in a couple of days I will add a little glue the ends of a weft or two, but other than that I LOVE THE LG.
I was hoping it could do a little better through oil, but hey what can I say I wash my hair about once every 3-4 days. Nothing has happened due to this yet, but I just get worried when my hair gets the least bit oily and I'm afraid a weft is just going to slide out if I start brushing the hair, but of course that hasn't happened, yet.
Definately better than the bss latex though, I think! Ususally by now I would have to reattach the bottom weft of a bss latex install. And generally it would last me about 2-3 weeks. The real test is to see if they "last 7 times longer than other hair glue". lol I doubt it. I would be happy to get 4 weeks out of this install though!
Keeeep you guys updated, and thankyou :)

Hey Babygirl, I have a suggestion...you should get a mirror so you can see the back of your head. It's best to do that so you know your parts are clean and your wefts are placed well. You did a really great job but I think that would make it even easier.

Are you sandwiching the wefts? The sandwiching will make them last alot longer. Also doing little tabs over the ends will give you an extra week or even a couple of extra weeks without the edges lifting (which seems to always be the first place that they lift)
Take a look at this thread:

And this one has a few pictures of the 'tab' thing I mentioned:

Well, I'm dissapointed to say this install only lasted me about 2 weeks. It probably would of lasted me 3-4 weeks but I was anxious to reinstall and add more hair.
BUT I LOVE the take down. It was SO SIMPLE compared to BSS latex. The take down was fairly okay to take down, got a little impatient and just kinda ripped them out. But left over residue on my hair was so easy to remove. I just combed through it and the glue was gone. None of that, sit in the tub with conditioner on my head for an hour and comb through it with a metal lice comb ripping all my hair out.
And I have not used the sandwiching method, But I have wanted to! It just seems to hard to do when you dont' have anyone helping you, know what I mean? Trying to apply LG to the front side of the weft while its already on your head, seems a little messy, but I'm sur eit works!
I'm reinstalling today, infact - but the traditional way since my bf is helping me with the back I don't want to challenge him too much lol.
