I have a big problem...
I've sort of had it all my life, but over the years it seems to be getting worse.
You see, i have really fine blond hair, and because of my mother (who has straight hair) I have straight hair... but only in the front!
...But thanks to my father, i also have really fine frizzy ringletty curls in the back!!!!
It's a really weird combination and even harder to combat! I can't brush the back of my hair like i would the front because it would poof out and get split ends. If i try to just keep it all curly like some hardressers say i should do, (with a closet full of curly hair products) they don't work on my straight hair! I really hate it. Every hair dresser I've been to is just baffled and doesn't really know what to do, or they think i just killed the back and want to cut my hair to a really short length! I don't have extremely long hair, it's too unruly to have it that long, its about shoulder length, and it WON'T COOPERATE WITH ANYTHING THAT I DO!

Should I get half of it chemically straightened??? Or should i get it permed? I'm afraid to do anything like that, because my hair is really fine, and gets fried real easily!!!

IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO? please, please, please help me.

Wow.  I'm really sorry that you have to deal with this.  I wish I knew what to tell you that would fix it.  Go to http://www.naturallycurly.com - www.naturallycurly.com and search for a curly hair salon or specialist nearby.  Hopefully they would at least be able to give you a style that would work well.
(hint: the longer the hair, the less unruly the curls)

Thanks, ill definately check out that site.  I just wonder if there are other pple with the same problem as me out there... I've been thinking of writing to a magazine like Cosmo or something, though i don'y know if they'd think that this was all that important lol.

well i'd say make it all curly (with a curling iron) or all straight (with a straightening iron)

thats just me though.... afro

Irons don't work on my hair, it doesnt last very long and damages my hair, so i wouldn't be able to do it everyday.
