When I posted those links on February 10, I was hoping Nelly had her hair pulled back and tied. That was wishful thinking. Be honest: When Nelly Furtado was a longhaired brunette, did you ever imagine she'd become a shorthaired blonde? I just don't see an improvement.

| I would concur as well. That said, there was a woman in my neighborhood when I was a kid who had really dark hair, but then suddenly went as blonde as blonde could be. It turned out she had so much gray hair she was trying to hide, her hairdresser said it'd just be easier if she went blonde so it wouldn't show as it grew in. Maybe the same thing is up with Nelly (which would be a shame). |

To me, it's kind of soccer mom meets coffee house singer. Not one thing or another. I assume she REALLY wanted this look, as I would hope most self-respecting hair cutters would try to dissuade her from that kind of look...she looks like she is channeling a cross between Kylie Minogue and Natalie Imbruglia..not really working for her. |

Dear god. Did she dye her eyebrows dark as well? I'm guessing she did, because she had lightened them for her stint as a blonde. She's channeling Groucho Marx here. |
