Now that it's getting warmer in the northern hemisphere... and summer is rapidly approaching... I'm wondering what are your favorite ways to style your hair to "beat the heat" and keep your sanity when the weather gets hot?

A damp bun....if it is low it can keep my neck cool as it dries.

This query helped me choose an icon. Yes, one of my favorite ways to "beat the heat" is to enjoy a cold one. Oh, that and my trusty braid... and a spot in the shade (or inside with AC)

Summer.
Isn't that the time for damp hair, very lightly oiled with Gardenia-scented Monoi? And a flower behind the ear?

When the sun enters roast-mode, out comes a fine woven grass hat. The hair is first wrapped in a silk scarf and then the hat covers both.

Will be sipping plenty of water and freshly made fruit juices in the dappled shade of sprawling oaks.

When it's really warm here - which is like... three days a year - I just wear my hair up. I'd like to wear a hat, but my head's too big for most of them!

(((((Isla)))))

You mean the hats are made too small, wherever you are.
"Obviously" you must have a bigger brain than the majority of the people in your land.
Also, more hair follicles than normal. That's good thing!!!

Anyway, if you are ever in London, we have a good range of hat sizes - some very beautiful hats - and I'm sure you could find one that you liked and that fit you.

Take care

Uzma

P.S Only 3 days of summer? Surely you jest!

Thanks for that, Uzma. Now that you mention it, of course I have a big brain! And I do have thick hair... so the hat manufacturers are in the wrong! Yay!

I was talking about really, really warm days. Actual heat. Those days don't happen that often. Okay, maybe maybe it's more than three days a year, but never more than three days in a row. Which actually makes it worse, because you don't get a proper chance to get used to the heat.

And I only live a tiny little sea away from London, I've been there twice before and loved it, so I'm sure I'll be back one day! And I'll definitely go hat shopping!
