Ladies, I have posted here before and got good advice, scolded a little but I learned a lot. I am currently wearing weaves. I have 3 tracks in. I go about every 8 weeks to have them retracked. I have to say I dont know that I am liking them that much. I cannot wear my hair in a ponytail nor can i pin it back. You can see the tracks. If you dont remember me, I was the one who had lots of damage from the GL . My styling doing the weaves says my hair is strong and growing but it is still pretty short. What other options do I have if I do not care for the tracks?

TIA

Harley

what about microlinks, seamless wefts, or microtabs? can you post pics of your hair without the extensions...it would be easier to offer advice then.

I had the same problem with the weave too, how short is your hair?

Well I posted pics of the damage and what my hair looked like after I took the GL out. I cant post any pics of what my hair looks like without the wefts because they are still in. I have no idea what my hair looks like w/o the wefts in at this point. My natural hair is all braided in and when I have the retracks done I still never see my real hair. All I can see is the very bottom layer which is probably 3-4 inches...

well if there is enough hair to put in a braided weft, then you can do just about any kind of method. I have hair locs in now which is a strand by strand method using metal clamps, I had them in before and they did no damage to my hair so I was able to grow it out. I am a big fan of this method and I tried plenty.

sour girl, can you see the locs? About how much does this cost and what is the maintenance like?

You can see them if they are not placed right, the girl who did my last install really did a good job placing them and matching the color and you can't see them. I paid $900 for 100 strands and the maintenance is a $100 an hour but she put mine in really fast like a hour and a half and you do that about every 3 months.
