Has anyone tryed this shampoo? I seen it in Walgreens flyer today. Says no harsh chemicals, contains natural plant protein etc.....But, when I looked up the ing. it has cones in it. So how good can it be?

I haven't tried that, I looked at the ingredients and I didn't see any cones, but then I had trouble finding the ingredients so you probably found something I didn't. Sulfate-free is generally considered good stuff.
Frankly, its hard to say these days. When people started being anti-cone, the first thing that happened was that companies used slightly different cones so they could call it something that didn't end in cone. Its hard to say if sodium lauroyl whootsiwhatsit is better than sodium lauryl sulfate would be, or if its just a disguise for another detergent that may not even be better. I don't know, so that's why I buy the cheapest stuff and just use it at 1/10 of its original strength.
My point, this shampoo could be great, but I don't recognize hardly any of those chemicals so who knows? I do know that in conditioners I've tried without cones, they have the polyquaternium, and it puts a waxy coating on hair to help keep it detangled. I don't think that builds up like cones do, but I can't be sure. I didn't find the polyquat detangled quite enough for my taste in the one conditioner I tried, but I am a spoiled 'cone user!

Thanks for the reply Susan. Actually it was the conditioner that had the cones in it, sorry for the confusion. Yeah they make it sound great, but who knows.

Yeah, I really don't mean to knock the stuff though. It doesn't hurt to try it and see if you like it. It could turn out that all those fancy new chemicals really are better and safer for hair.
