I just colored my hair a medium golden brown. In a couple of weeks I plan to highlight my hair with the help of a friend. I want to use Redken EQ what color should I use for the highlights and what volume developer. I want a color that will look natural. _popupControl();

i use shades eq,  it is a deposit color only, meaning it won't lift (lighten) your hair at all.  you only use the eq processing product...it is 2% hydrogen peroxide....it is a great line but you have to also get the clear eq because if you don't cut the color eq by half your hair will go real dark....i have the book that has all the different colors you can mix to achieve all sorts of colors...but it won't lift....you would have to prelighten what you want highlighted.  they are beautiful colors and the shine is incredible.

You'll need to bleach them. Please go to the hairdresser, whole head or even half head highlights are extremely difficult to do well. If you insist on doing them yourself, I would suggest a 30 vol developer. You're hair will take much longer to lift because of the artificial dye in your hair. Do you plan to colour/tone the highlights?

is it a professional only store?  if not, are you one lucky girl to be able buy them....ok i am looking through my book of formulas....what level would you say your hair is?  look on the box if you need to so i know the level....now for caramel highlights you would mix 09GB butter cream and 09AA papaya in equal amounts with equal amounts of eq processing lotion....for a more dark blonde you would mix a color they call golden toffee and it is equal parts 9AA papaya and 4WG sun tea...and of course equal amount of processing solution.....when my supply of eq runs out i am going to have to purchase over the internet.....hate to do that because they jack the prices up.....here in kansas you have to be a licenced cosmotologist to be able to go to the store where they sell all the really good stuff......let me know if you want some more formulas.  good luck alana.
