A little background...

 

My hair is naturally a dark reddish blonde/very light reddish brown..

 

I have been lightening my hair for years, and decided I was bored with the "blonde" hair.... Always used "At home" dyes, have never been to a salon. Never really have the money to go to a professional, and always liked doing my own....

 

So.. I bought Revlon Colorsilk in "dark ash blonde". My hair turned out medium brown with grayish patches!! So.. I tried to add highlights and lowlights...

 

I used Colorsilk light golden blonde, for my highlights...

And, Garnier Nutrisse "intense auburn", #69, for my low lights!

 

The highlights were barely noticeable, and the "lowlights", wow! A HUGE mistake!! I now have huge streaks of bright burgundy-ish red mixed with a now lighter brown. It's horrible!!

 

So.. I bought Clairol "brass free blondes" in dark blonde, hoping to tone down the brightness. ...This is a semi permanent dye, all the rest was permanent, unfortunately! =( It did tone it down a tiny bit, but it still looks bad.

 

My quesion: What do I do now?? *sigh*

 

In one way, i'd like to just go back blonde, or dark blonde.

Another though, is to color over it with a semi permanent

brown shade, to try to minimize the bright color.

 

Or, maybe use a color remover i've heard about, and then re-dye a natural blonde color?

 

Any help is VERY appreciated!!

 

What I think I might do, is get the dark ash blonde permanent dye again, re-dye, and see how it turnes out. *sigh*
