I just got my new hari extensions yesterday. I got the new Paris Hillton (human hair). I had fairly short hair around 4 inches in the front and back, a little shorter at the bottom (back).

 

I thought they looked pretty good when I left the salon, problem is I cant style them for the life of me! You can totaly tell where my natural hair ends and the extension begins. Do anyone of you have any style tips on how I can try and make it blend more?!

I feel like I have this big indention in the back.  My new hair is just a little past my shoulders.

Maybe if I have them cut layers?? or will that make it worse?

If I cant get this to look better Im thinking of taking them out and I just paid 1500 dollars.

When the natural hair is short it is more difficult to get them to blend.  Yes, you are correct, some layering is what you need. You need to go back and then them  cut some layers using the razor.

 

Also, the shorter the natural hair, the higher the extensions need to be placed on the head  because it will blend better that way too.

i cant tell you how it really burns me up to hear that after spending 1500  you left with the ability to know where your own hair is and the extension hair is!

Go back and have her either add more hair, or blend it better.

what state do u live in?

 

you should have layers all through out your hair. from where your hair ends all the way down.

I just am not sure I trust them to even try and fix it.

yeah, if she didnt cut it after she installed them, chances are she doesnt know how.

i would go back and talk to her or the owner. for that cost, you should LOVE it-

 

 

Well I went ahead and had them removed at a different salon.

So glad I did, they were not done right. The girl I went to has been doing extensions for 6 years. She said they were not put up high enough ( which all of you told me) she didnt put enough on the sides, also half of the bonds were not sealed properly and the worst...she attached some of the bonds to just tiny strands of hair! They said I could have lost some hair and had bald spots because that tiny amount of hair strands couldnt withstand the weight of the extension!!

 

Now Im working on getting some of my money back. Can you believe when I called the salon director yesterday she told me to come in and talk to the stylist. I sent her a email last night and told her it was inappropriate for her to have me deal with the stylist at this point.
