Hello everyone !

I thought I would share some pictures of my last install with you !...

I am wearing 5 to 6 oz of Bohyme, a mix of mostly 14B and 16 and little bit of 24.

I have 6 rows in the back and 5 to 6 rows on the each sides. I love having volume around my face!

A couple of months ago I purchased 3 ounces of russian hair, 22 inches long, 2 ounces in a custom color and 1 ounce in the color that was proposed on the website as a 22-24 equivalent.

While the hair was beautiful, my overall experience has been disappointing. I haven’t been able to wear this hair –except a 2 inches piece that I stuck underneath on one side- because the colors don’t match my own color. The custom color was close but still too light for me and the other color, the light blonde, was amazingly ashy to me, and it definitely stands out if I want to mix it with my own hair.

Now the texture of the russian hair is pretty although I expected something even sleeker. It does feel ‘thinner’ than bohyme but it is close enough to blend very well with Bohyme. I would have a better idea of the difference between the two types of hair if I could wear the full 3 oz with another 2 oz let’s say of Bohyme.

Our dear Val’ has offered to help me –thanks sweetie!- to color the russian to match my own hair so hopefully I will be able to wear this hair soon. It has been very frustrating because I have never in my life spent so much $$ on hair and I haven’t really enjoyed it yet.

I look at Bohyme hair with even more satisfaction now, because I know what I get for the price. I know how to take care of it, how to style etc. No surprise. Actually yeah, one bad surprise…Bohyme price increase has finally been effective a few days ago on hairsisters.com and ebonyline. I have to pay another $50 to $60 per batch now for length/colors and texture. This sucks, although I will stick with this hair for the foreseeable future.

I have worn my last install for 7 weeks which wasn’t a good idea, I started to have some matting on the bottom weft and some nasty scalp issues… dandruff and itchiness. 5 weeks is the good time, everytime I go longer I regret it. I take out the wefts with pure acetone, it usually takes me about 45 mn, then I get rid of LG residues with Goo Gone. I like to let my wefts sit in LG for an hour or more after take-down, it heps tremendously to clean the wefts. The LG gets all soft and comes out very easily with Neutrogena anti residus shampoo. I was hoping to try some of Sassy’s asian hair or Amm’s ESG but the first one is looking bad and the second one, well, I “wait it”. Lol

So what else? I have been trying all kinds of new hair products since the beginning of this year, I have tried different hair treatments, styling creams, serums, conditioner, shampoo etc. I think I’ll write a separate post on that because they are so many products!...

On a regular basis, I still use Avalon Organics shampoos (the scalp problems one is really good with the itchiness I get sometimes and they have a nice clarifying one too) and Pantene conditioners (the moisturizing one and the one for sleek hair mostly) and it works great with Bohyme!

So now pictures!...

Thanks Malibu!

Princess, I use Liquid Gold for all my rows except the top one where it is a combination of narrow piece of tape under the weft and LG on the top part of the weft.

Let me ask you something... have you ever seen a blonde lacefront that looked seamless?

Also, Frenchie, you can call Annette at California Lace Wigs and ask her your blonde lace-wig questions.  She's very helpful.

Thanks for your advice Tea4Two, lacewig are such a different world from hair extensions...
CLW or Rex are good options for me I think.
I know it lacewig don't work for me, I always have my weaves! Thumbs%20Up
