Does anyone know if black semi permanent hair dye washes out in 24 shampoos?

It definitely starts to fade out - depending on your colouring and what brand you use, can look reddish, or bluish. It doesn`t completely disappear though after 24 washes. Black is as high-maitenence as bleachblonde imho.
I have been through black permanent and semi-perm, and am trying to let it all grow out, after several years - the length of my hair is darker than the roots (I am naturally a medium brown - blah with my complexion) but it all works - I haven`t had colour since May - my greys show, but the black I had done in March/April isn`t clearly delineated.

most of it is now just very dark brownish black. The semi-perm does fade out. I didn`t colour the whole length every time, usually every third or fourth time. I have not had any colour since May though.
