Okay, so I'm going in for an all over color in about a few weeks (finally!!), and right now my hair is about a level 8 or 9. I want to go almost platinum but not too white... maybe a level 11 nevertheless. I've never had experience with blonde DYE.. just bleach. So I was wondering.. is it even possible to go up 2-3 levels WITHOUT bleach? How much can a dye even lift your hair? Like I said, I have no experience with this whatsoever so excuse my ignorance haha.

| I've used a high-light blonde color in the past paired with 40 vol. developer, and I was able to lift my roots 3-4 levels. However from my understanding, high-lift color does not lift previously colored hair, just virgin. |

Thanks  My hair hasn't really been "dyed" before, not for years anyway.. I've always just hilighted with bleach. Would a high-lift colour be able to lift bleached hair?
