Hey all,

I just wanted some suggestions at to what haircuts/colors/styles would suit me.  My hair is currently at an awkward length (a bit longer than in the photo here).  I have a thin face right now which gives me the illusion of having a too long face as well.  I look best with either really long or shorter hair; I'm currently growing it out but am tempted to cut it in a bob (maybe between my chin and shoulders??)  At any rate, I'm just curious what you experts have to say :)  Also, do you think I could get away with dark blonde, auburn or black hair?  I've always just had brown.

You hair looks in good condition so i would resist the urge to cut too mucj off as you are trying to grow it. I would suggest some longer layers throughout to add more body with maybe one or to shorter layers at the front about chin length, maybe a fraction longer to frame your face and make it look less elongated.  Colourwise i would definately go for Auburn. Have a look for some old Angie Everheart picture with long hair.  I think that style might suit you. I will try and post a picture if i can find one.

Keep us posted on what you decide, and post some after pictures too if you don't mind.
All the best

Actually, I did have it cut into a few layers, and I don't like them much--the shorter parts are too thick and get into my face.

I pretty much decided against cutting my hair this summer, but I still desperately need suggestions on how to make my hair look better while it grows out.  It always looks either too poofy or too flat :(

I think you need bangs - would help with too long looking face.
Auburn is the color for you.

I agree with needing bangs and I would stay away from blonde.  Auburn would be nice but I think your color is great right now.  As for length, you could pull off any length.  I'm a short hair fan; if you're leaning that way, I could post some pictures.

Funny that everyone thinks I need bangs--my hairstylist told me I had a great hairline and to stay away from them?  My face doesn't look NEARLY as long as is does in this pic, by the way.

Yes, Hawg, do go ahead and post some midlength hair photos, but I'm not interested in anything above chin length.   :)

Love the color and length. I would just add bangs.

Good luck!

I actually really like the Jennifer Love Hewitt one--I like that it doesn't have full bangs and also that it hits just under the chin, great for long faces.  This is the one I'll shoot for whenever I get tired of long hair.  :)
