| I installed a bunch of wefts using LG a couple weeks ago. I used clarifying shampoo beforehand, waited a couple days after install to wash it, and keep conditioner on my ends only. HOwever, I'm having the hardest time getting the wefts to stay put. Maybe three days after the install, the ends of my wefts started poking out to say hi( a lot). I had used that sandwich technique as well. I touched up the ends, only to have them pop out again a couple more days later. Another full length weft stopped sticking in the middle and just hung there. am I missing something? =[ |

sorry that's happening. i have noticed that turning just the very end of the weft under [to where the stitched ends meet with glue all over em] and then zapping with a blowdryer to set the glue and pinching like you would with fake nails for like 10 seconds reallllly helps keep the ends of the wefts from poking out. the only other thing with the one coming loose in the middle... i guess i would just heatset with a blowdryer. or use more glue? i have the tendency to use my finger and rub across the weft after i stick it to my hair just to get the glue to stick in really well and then heatset... i dunno i guess trial and error is the only way to figure anything out with hair extensions my opinion is it's better to mess around yourself than pay 1500 dollars for someone else to do the same thing!;D

I have the same issue with LG. It just doesn't stay in my hair for more than a week tops. Tape doesn't work for me either. I think it's because I have an oily scalp, my own natural glue remover!  ------------- Hair type: 1a/f/i |

I think all of these points are great and important. It could be that you need to use more heat when you set the LG during the install. Press, press, press then heat, heat, heat. Also, watch where you apply your shampoo (even if it is clarifying) cause it can eat at the glue. Or maybe like Monsterita, your scalp doesn't like glue. This is where you may want to play with combinations of adhesives: tape/LG or LG and some other glue (Vapon No-tape) mixed together. Don't give up, because there may be a solution out there for you!!! ------------- Love clip-ins and tape! |

I wonder if you are using enough glue? And as mentioned be sure to hold them in place and press REALLY well to be sure that you have a good secure bond and zap with the blowdryer to help set the bond. Spend extra time on each row just pressing them, it really does make a difference in the long run. Another thing, when you used the sandwich technique, do you do the little 'tabs' over the edges of the weft? Without this step I will get lifting of the ends after a few weeks.
