Hi all, I am growing out my hair long and have very fine thin hair, it sometimes seems as if it is weak and not very moisturized. Oh by the way I am a guy. Anyways, i've been using Finesse shampoo and conditioner and it does make it soft and full, but it does feel a bit dry and weak a day or two later. What brands of shampoo/conditioner should I use to grow my hair out healthier, thicker, and longer? I tried reading reviews and there are so many mixed opinions on what chemicals are bad and what not. Also, how often should you shampoo/condition? Also, I don't want to spend too much. Any help would be great,

thanks

I find Aussie 3 min miracle have a good range of hair products. I also take a vitamin supplement to help maintain health hair as well as my skin. Drink plenty of water too.

Hi Eneyman

I just lost an entire post from hitting a back button shortcut on the macintosh.  I hope this reply isn't too late.

With your hairtype I would recommend using a children's shampoo, or a children's shampoo and conditioner in one. They have much gentler ingredients than adult varieties. Finesse changed its formula about ten years ago when they switched to harsher ingredients.

Some products I would recommend are Giovanni direct leave-in conditioner (it doesn't run out fast - you only use a drop or two per serving) and Aveda Rosemary Mint (although it's pretty spendy) Another option is to use a 2-in-1 children's shampoo and then apply a drop of broccoli seed oil into just-dried hair.

It probably goes without saying, but with your hair type, I would avoid hair dryers like the plague. The best case scenario for fine, thin hair is to avoid using hair dryers, heat tools, chemicals, gel, mousse, and hairspray.

Hope this helps
Blessings
Anais
