Will we ever have one? I am personally in AR and I will travel to TX. Do we have anyone there who will take on this project. I am not organized,so I would not be a candidate. I think that it would be a lot of fun! A TX, AR, LA, Mississippi, OK event. I signed up to be on the mailing list to go to one of Ms. Lola's event and not email yet, so I looking for another in the meantime. I have a crappy wig right now, but I think that I can wash and curl it and make it look decent for a weekend.

That sounds like fun. I'm having lunch with two members tomorrow. I love meeting the members from BHM and HB. I have met two and we are having lunch tomorrow. I won't volunteer to set up the function. My plate is past full, but I do want to come if there is one in the future. |

I know most have busy schedules and I am probably least busy. I am not sure how to get a luncheon started, but I will try to keep this thread going and see how many people we can get together. I will run this by the CA ladies and see how they went about it. I am really looking forward to meeting everyone soon. |

hey now my girlfriend is moving to austin i'm just awaiting for her to get there, if its in enough time i'll be there too!!!! i've been to houston Lord that place is huge but i did drive up in there b/c my step brother use to live there.. at one time i was considering moving there until i saw a flying c*ck roach and i freaked out they don't have them where i come from..  i couldn't believe that part, i was like WTF is that?

| I'd also like to meet with you ladies. I'm in the DFW area and we do NOT have flying roaches! They are mainly around the gulf cost area, Houston, Galveston, Corpus Christi... Although I have jacked up my lf big time and still have not put it on. I'm going to try bleaching the knots again, today. |

I live in houston but I'm from Dallas and YES I have seen Waterbugs, which is what they are...in Dallas....anywhere there is an abundance of water or wetness they are there....you may not see as much in Dallas, but you will see em.... Dallas has the black cricket problem...wait until they start covering gas stations and stuff...YUCK!!!

LOL!!!  I've seen waterbugs here, also, but they don't fly like the Houston ones! I actually live about 20 minutes southeast of Fort Worth, in this little town called Mansfield. I've had the land for over 15 years and decided to build my house on it a couple of years ago. I'm close to both Dallas and Fort Worth, but in the country.

Sexi been to Austin for a minute and it is nice. Caught a plane in Houston and missed the bugs. My first love is San Antonio. I have friends living in both places. I lived in Dallas and my girls live in Mansfield and Frisco. So I have friends all down in TX. None of them wear lfs. We have those bugs in AR and my Mom was just complaining about them today. People only move here to raise kids or to retire. I am working on getting as many into lf's as I can. LOL!!! Sounds like a lf luncheon in the making. I will work on it from my end as far as dates and a place. Look for the thread in the near future. |

I was in Mansfield last year in August for a week for my family reunion. They are really building things up out there. I would love to go to Texas for a luncheon, plus Southwest goes there, so getting a reasonable ticket would be no problem...Just let me know at least 2-3 months in advance so I can take off from work, get some extra cash and get that cheap plane ticket

Where in OK? I was born and raised in Tulsa, but I hadda get outta that town! Mansfield is country, but it's true country! I have a Mansfield address but Waxahachie is 'right up the road' as we say out here! |
