Hi. I have really thick hair and would like to make it wavy. I am think a curling iron might do it. Which sort would be most effective on my hair type - larger/smaller tongs and should i look for many heat settings?

oh. also - are curling irons silent cos i need something to take to uni with me that doesn`t disturb everyone!

thanks a lot.

you`ll only hurt your hair with curling irons, but if you must do it that way use a medium-barelled iron. The heat setting doesn`t really matter, but the lower the heat the longer you`ll need to leave the iron in your hair. If you want to avoid damage, simply braid your hair at night in 2 pigtails. You`ll wake up with soft, healthy, wavey hair. And neither way will disturb anyone at uni (whatever that is)

if you want to use heat anyway....you can get a 3-Barrel curling iron...Gold N` Hot makes them...they give you cute lucious mini-waves...I use that...as a matter of fact..I have them in my hair now.....hope I helped
