This is tough cuz now I have to try to dig up photos of hair that I keep covered up for a reason!
My hair is naturally curly and I have no relaxer.
Silky Milk setting lotion after a hair cut:
 Then I decided to go shorter with my natural hair:
  So when I finally cut it all off, I had them put in a relaxer:
  But I needed a FUN look for nighttime, so I bought a fun wig:
 And that led me to check out lace wigs, and the rest is addiction!

OK ya looking too cute, but i ain't got no color purple braid pictures cuz that's all that's happening right now, and if i did i wouldn't post them.. but i wore my hair red for 100 years and that's the main reason i started wearing lf's b/c i damaged this hur with coloring and perm's.. thank God for lf's to get it back in shape:

Wow, Sexi, you look gorgeous. And I LOVE red hair!!!!! I tried forever paying professionals to dye my hair auburn, and it never worked. That's another reason I'm so much in love with LF's.

| thanks my mother preferred my hair lighter, but it damaged the heck out of it.. so i did have to do the chop and went into the lf's and began my hair growth journey/research..once i was able TO FINALLY get the red out.. that color kept bleeding thru even when i dyed is dark, it would come right back b/c i wore it that color for so long.. thank God if i wanna wear that color again it will only be in a lf.. not my hair!!!! |

Don't let alopecia beat you up. Look right back at it and not let it take your spirit. I am still the same person that I was before losing my hair, I now have the flexibility to wear long hair, different colors and textures and still feel beautiful.

I am new to the lacefront game but I have a beater that I have been playing around with. I have bleached knots, shampooed and conditioned colored and flat ironed. I've only worn it 15 feet outside my door. I'm just getting used to it but its nice. I'm thinking of what style I really want for myself. But It still feels so puffy under there even with braids. Any Suggestions? |

  i tried dying it blond [mucho damage] =-[
 got micro braids to grow out atleast 2in. of NG

woah Sexi! I am luvin the red hair. U look fly in any color but that red is burnin up in a good way. I wish I looked that good with red hair. I'm gonna have to try that color. You know you got more hair than a little bit.
On another note. All of you gals look excellent with it without hair. Thanks LFPrincess for showing your pic. A lot of people won't do that and I admire that. You still look beautiful with no hair bc you have much beauty from within. Keep it up woman of beauty!! |

well thank you but i've never worn a BSS wig in my life.. hated the thought of wigs until i found out about lf's, and even then was skeptical.. and maybe you think you know how old i am, but it was misquoted on the other board when it came up b/c i never tell my age..but thanks
EDITED: i have to admit b/c i'm not forthcoming about that i've forgotten my age on more than one occassion.. one time my big sister took me to jamacian for my 38th birthday and we went had a great time only to come home and have my mother tell me that's not as old i thought i was.. and that was a whole year later when i found out.. so i have made myself older than i was, trying not to be older..LOL that threw me off for a while, and another time i was in atlanta having a great time partying with friends, and totally forgot it was my birthday till my girlfriend said it's your birthday, and it was over.. so that's on the real and that's what i did when i quoted it on the other board.. i have to laugh to myself b/c that crazy when you can block those things out, b/c its only a number, and it doens' t matter as long as i don't look it, its all good but thank you..

OK, I wasn't gonna post because I don't have my lf yet, but I have worn my bald head for the last 7 years and I still wear it this way and plan to continue wearing it this way when I don't feel like dealing with lf or BSS wig. LF is a way for me to get some variety. There is only so much you can do with a bald head. Don't get me wrong though, I love it and so does my hubby

Well I have to say ALL the sisters up in here are just simply beautiful. Oneday I will get the nerve to post pics of my natural state which is totally bald after going through chemo onlt to turn around and go through alopecia which totally took ALL of my fur...err..ah..hair.
I am sitting here with tears in my eyes because now I feel I have a place to come too and talk about some of the things we as woen go through when losing our hair in a society that is soley based on how one looks with a large dose of double standards for women.
Thank you so much my sisters for sharing and giving a sister the power to be free. GOD BLESS you all.

Aww thanks! I guess it's my no-stress lifestyle
 - that and Neutrogena. I don't drink muck water so I try to keep the stress little to none but when those little stress monsters show on my face they are a mess . I have a special secret for them but if I posted it you guys would think I'm seriously crazee. Oh! I also drink crystal lite. It has alot of antioxidants so maybe that helps too. |

I had a scare with uterine cancer four years ago so I know how drainig and tiresome the cancer can make you feel. Just know that you have out thoughts and prayers. Whenever you need to be lifted up just log onto the board and read on- you don't even have to write a thing. Once again we hope you get better and gain strength from all of us. My ear is here and an itching

Aawww. Ofcoarse you are understood here.
 A lot of women on this board have been affected by hair loss and it's various causes. My mother went through chemo off and on for a year and lost all of her hair. They didn't make lace wigs back then and her skin was sometimes too raw to comfortably wear a bss wig. With a little encouragement she gradually got up the nerve to go out w/o a wig and even though I still had my hair it really empowered me to see her do that. The self-acceptance and boldness that it takes for a woman to do that in our society is in and of itself a truly beautiful sight to behold.  |

I have quite a few customers that told me the same thing that they sit and cry at times. I am going to say to you that your beautiful inside and out so don't let your hair define you. I have a client that lost all her hair due to meds and now after one year she is growing hair again. It didn't start until after wearing the lace wig. I wonder if the lace wigs helped?
We are here for you and will continue to be here for you God spare our lives.

Wow, you guys all look gorgeous, lf or no lf. I realized after searching in vain, I don't have a pic of my own hair without it being braided, weaved, half wig, etc.... So below is a pic with my hubby when we were dating in 04', I glued few tracks in the back but the length was only a few inches longer than my natural length. The second pic is of me at my son's 1st b-day party in 07' with my first lf.
