Hi,..What does a body perm usually end up looking like,.a looser softer curl,maybe,..if so,.I think I have found what I have been looking for,...I can`t seem to find any pictures of what I am looking for,...I willl keep looking though,.. Thanks,.Jazz

A body wave produces a softer, looser curl than a "regular" perm because of the size of rods used (the chemicals are the same). Usually, the beige (3/4 inch) or purple (1/2 inch) rods are used - although if your hair is hard to curl, white (7/16 inch) rods might be used. These larger rods will give your hair volume.

I too had a problem finding pictures of body waves. The best I can find is actually a hair weaving site but the pictures show hair from straight to body wave. I think it will give you an idea of what the finished curl should look like (a lazy "S" shape).

The softer, looser curls are so much more attractive on a woman with longer hair, like I said check out pictures of Jennifer Lopez when she has that style.Also Denise Richards and Selma Hayek!
