Most of my work has been with naturally straight hair and therefore, silky straight extensions.  I have a friend who is interested in extensions and she has naturally curly hair but usually wears it straight.

I'm curious how successful everyone else has been with matching a natural curl.  It's more than a wave, but less than tight...really pretty actually...lol  :)  If I use SS extensions then she would still have to  straighten her own hair but might like the look better, and her hair texture once straightened would match.

I'm just concerned that when she has a day where she feels like letting her own hair go natural she's going to have to do a lot to curl the SS.

Sorry for the wordiness, I'm SURE you all know exactly what I mean since there is so much experience here.  :)  Thoughts?  Words of Wisdom?  :)  Thanks!

Hey B.B. I know exactly what you are inquring about. Matching natural curl can be tricky.

I'm not going to be of huge help, but I wanted to tell you that i have naturally curly hair (bleached blonde) and weirdly enough, if I let my hair and extensions dry naturally, the curl is the same. It's a lazy wave, I guess. The silky straight does not DRY straight or at least MINE doesn't! Of course, the bleaching of my own natural hair has caused the curls to drop. Either way, it sounds like your friend, MAY want to try something like Wagman's custom curl or European curl. I, personally, don't think the curls haVe to match perfectly. No one's hair curls consistently the same around their head! Tongue

It depends, I've used several textures in my own hair. The light waves were actually the easiest to blend with my straight hair verses the silky straight. It helps to disguise the shelf since your hair kind of falls between the tendril crevices. The ones fakeizme mentioned are good. Also, you can look at Bohyme Egyptian Wave (which I've used before). It still feels soft like Silky straight, and brushable, but still wavy at the same time. (Exactly like you were describing where it's wavy but not curly). So it lies a bit flatter against your head, and progresses to look more wavy towards the bottom.
