HI, IM NEW AND I NEED HELP WITH EVERYTHING. I JUST GOT A NEW INDIAN REMY LIGHT YAKI FROM REX AND IT IS BEAUTIFUL. I LOVE THIS HAIR. I NEED ADVISE ON HOW TO COLOR THE LACE WITH FIBRIC PENS  WITHOUT IT TURNING THE LACE A RED COLOR LIKE I'VE BEEN READING OR WITH SH SPRAY. I REALLY NEED PICS OF HOW MUCH LACE I NEED TO CUT CAUSE I WILL BE VERY HURT IF I MESS UP MY NEW BABY. WHAT GLUE IS EVERYBODY USING THAT IS HOLDING THE LONGEST WITH THE NATURAL  LOOKING HAIRLINES? I AM DARK SKINNED AND I'M NOT SURE WHAT COLOR CAP TO BUY AND I JUST NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!. IF THERE IS ANYTHING ELSE YOU THINK I SHOULD KNOW PLEASE TELL ME!!!!

AFTER I USE EVERYONES ADVISE I PROMISE TO POST PICS

What color lace did you get from Rex?  Does it not match your skin tone?  I'm asking because if it matches your skin tone, there shouldn't be a need for the fabric pen.  As far as cutting the lace, cut it where you feel comfortable.  Most of us cut as close to the hairline as possible but without cutting the hair itself.  Everyone uses different adhesives as well based on their own body chemistry.  I personally use proflex no shine tape and Davlyn clear waterproof adhesive and get a hold that last me until I need it (Monday - Friday or sometimes Saturdays if I go out Friday night).  I hope this helps.  The newbie section is great, though.

I think Davlyn anf proflex or blue liner tape is good for a 1-2 week hold. There are different ways people apply the tape and adhesive so you may want to read that part in the newbie thread and try all the different methods to see which one works.
 
Now about the lace color. Curlygirl just did a post on that. She recommends a wig cap that is a close to your complexion and the lace of the unit a shade darker than that to hide the grid from the lace. Look in the begining of the thread for the topic.
 
If you wish to bleach the knots you must be very careful and precises. Read read read the instructions that Breh and Sexi have given and use caution. You don't want to overbleach your knots. If you are scared you can always do the faux method with the Jerome Russel blonde spray that Sexi posted about (look it up under posts started by her).

thank ladies.sorry for the wait. the lace is light brown and i am dark skinned so i need to dye it
