Hi! I`m looking for a shampoo and conditioner that will not cause my brown (colored) hair from turning brassy and auburn`ish. I`ve tried products specifically made for color-treated hair. I`ve also tried Pureology, which just took a little longer to turn my hair lighter and brassy.
Do the blue shampoos actually work? I`ve heard of Aveda blue malva, but I can`t take the Aveda smell. Anything else out there that may keep my color shiny and brown?
Thanks

Blue shampoos are for blond hair, not brunettes. Instead, look for a color-enhancing shampoo and conditioner designed for brunettes and with an ash tone. Paul Mitchell makes some products, as does Aura and Clairol (Sally Beauty Supply) and Artec. Good luck!
