hey i was reading your thread about wolfin and wave compression and my question is what did you mean exactly when you said "Remember that the compression that is created by the second "S" is what causes your minimum wavelength to decrease, thus increasing wave depth, connection, and visibilty."

basically he saying Waves are a layed down S curl.  When you wolf, new hair that's not in the layed down S curl pattern grows over the S curl pattern you have and that will lead to your waves losing visibility.

Wolfing trains that new hair to lay down in the same S curl pattern as the rest of your hair. If the new hair is stacked over the old hair then it will cause your waves to look deeper and more connected.

For the most part, what Vellyvell said is correct.  But, let me briefly address minimum wavelength, mwl.  Mwl is the lowest point you can cut your hair and still have wave visibility.  Wolfin can cause you mwl to decrease, thus allowing you to cut your hair shorter without sacrificing substantial wave visibility.  This is a positive because the lower you can cut your hair and still see waves, the easier it will be to manage your waves.

That's fine, although I would stay closer to 1/2 guard higher, unless wolfin.

i have to throw out a disagreement!

when the secound s comes over the original s, it ends up lineing up again, but at the edge of the s, nah mean?
its like a tile effect
the end of one s seemlessly turns into the middle of another, rather the end of another
you get it?
