I'm getting cyberhair at cybermane in Stroudsburg, PA next Saturday (the 21st)! I'm excited. Actually I'm not getting them with Charlene Blacer, but with her junior technician Elena. I saved money on the consultation (the price was cut from $100 to $50), and I suspect I am on the extensions as well. I'm getting 18", 200 strands for $1400, which is a lot, but I think worth it for the cyberhair. It's about I think $600 for maintenance like every 2-3 months, or about $800 every 4.

I also spent nearly $100 on the hair products, but I got a lot and I think it's worth it before I get familiar with them.
If anyone knows if cyberhair can be treated with normal hair products, please let me know as I'm not sure.

I live in NJ so the Stroudsburg location is only about an hour away, but I go to college at WVU in West Virginia, so it's going to be a 5 hour trip to go there for touch ups, unfortunately when I'm at college. I just found out that a place in Uniontown, PA called John Rutter Hair Salon that is close to Morgantown, WV,- about 40 minutes away, which is a lot better than 5 hours. The guy there, John, said he could work with cyberhair but only if you order a full head of hair. So I'm kind of disappointed that I didn't look more into that. But I'll think about going there if I decide to get a full new head of the cyberhair extensions in the future.

Anyway, I'll post pics when I get them!

If anyone has experience with them at all, I'd be very interested to hear about it.

Actually also, I'm thinking of calling and ordering another 100 strands (to make it 300) so that I have as much hair as possible and possibly some leftovers for the future. Or getting another 100, depending on how thick it is and I like it, in a month or two.
Does anyone have any take on that? Should I bother or do you think 200 strands will be more than plenty?

It's really hard to say which quantity of strands will be best for you without seing and feeling your natural hair density.

I don't use Cyberhair but was thinking about incorporating it into my business so they sent me some samples.  The strands seemed thin, i.e. not very dense, so maybe more rather than less would be better.

Good luck to you!

From what I have read on Charlene's site...the bead can be twisted to make them look fuller or left alone for them to lay flat...

I would go ahead and order them. That way, at the consultation you wont regret it if your hair doesn't seem thick enough, and if it is thick enough with the 200, you'll have leftovers anyway. And since you pay for labor at Cybermane, you won't have to visit again, or spend the gas which is skyhigh these days.

I'm excited for you!

Thanks. I actually think I'm going to just go with what I have, since to order another 100 strands is another $700. I plan to go back around the beginning of August before I go back to college anyway. So if I want more I'll get them then.

sounds like a pretty expensive precaution! you'll be fine with 200Tongue
