First, you need to figure out:

If you want length or fullness. If you are wanting tracks integrated through out your own hair, or if you want a full sew in. For a full sew in, you will need either two bags of commerical hair, or if your buying hair by the pound you will need 8-12 ounces.  And I forgot to add if you already have enough length and your just wanting to add a little more length and fullness, a bag or 8 ounces will do. You can also go to a stylist and she can determine what you need I hope this helps. Consultations with salons are free, so that can take guess work out of your decision also.
