Hi, I was wondering how much hair do you generally need for a full head fusion tip application?
One friend said she was quoted at least 8 oz of hair and another friend was quoted that 4 oz would be fine.
What are the guidelines for determining how much hair to use for an individual application??

When you are using the individual tips you need to measure the thickness of your pony. Just wrap your fingers around to get an idea of how thick it is. Then take the bag of prebonded tips, usually takes 2-4, no more than that. Put two together and see if they feel as thick as your pony. If it's way smaller take the third bag. If that feels closer then you know that is how many bags you will need. When you order the hair, ask them how many tips come in a bag. Try to get bags that have 100 tips in them. When I do an installation on a client I have never had to use more than four bags. For my fine & thinner haired clients I usually use two bags max. Sometimes I don't use all of the second whole bag. If you want it past your bra line 8+oz Shorter would be 4oz |
