For those of you who might have a bad review about G.L. did you ever look at the technician who applied it for you and did he/she follow up with you for maintainence and hair care? Please add that to your response because alot of people tend to blame the product and not the technician.

I've read a few of the reviews... and I'm surprised. After reading all of the reviews, I'm wondering if the breakage that a few of you had was from the product or poor applications or if Great Lengths was even used.. I had a client come to me recently to show me her application another stylist had put in , at the time I didnt finish my training with the company.. anyway, the stylist informed her she was putting in Great Lengths hair and it wasnt even great lengths, she had a mixture of fusion in half of her head and the other half ,had in some extensions with some metal links because the stylist ran out of the "Great Lengths hair" and then she told her that it was still Great lengths just a different type. Her friend had in some extensions as well and the application she had in was so poorly done, but she didnt know any better. The sad thing is that especially with first timers they can never tell the bad from the good. 

 

But it can happen to anyone, because you can never tell the bad until you've had something good.

 

I read that some people who had GL,  their natural hair was thin before the application and after taking them out.. it didnt help them, but made their hair worst. There is a way to apply them when ur hair is thin, but did your technican inform you when your hair is very thin, there is chance that the your hair wouldn't be able to hold the weight of the extension and the results of that will be the loss of the extension and your hair?

 

I dont know what to think, I've been working with weaves, wigs and extensions for a good while now..  I just went to get my training with Great lengths.. and before actually crossing over in the Strand by Strand department, I've witnessed ALOT of stylists use bad judgement when it comes to extensions and because of the love of money they didnt say no to the client ...(of course no one wants thousands of dollars walking out the door)  but .. they knew the client shouldnt get the extensions because it wasnt for them. I also witnessed stylists do  poor applications.. poor bond placement ..putting it too close to the scalp maybe the reason for all the breakage or maybe it's from the clients not brushing the hair from root to end causing it to mat and tangle or maybe it was the removal.. the tweezers used to take out the extensions can break off your hair if it isnt used properly or maybe the person's hair just needed a break from the extensions.. who knows

 

I just wish some stylists will stop being in such a haste to collect the funds and perform the service the way they was taught how to do it.. Ladies, I wish you all the best .. thank you for participating in my post..
