How I wash my hair is to use clarifying shampoo on the top of my head (my hair) and just to condition the extension hair (not shampoo it)

You may want to try distilled water, that leaves your extensions really nice if you use the gallons of distilled instead of tap water on it.

A lot of people like the Pureology products for extensions.

there are only a few product that i send each of my clients home with after i do an install-
biolage- color care shampoo and color care cond
pureology straight both shamp and cond
KMs- either their blonde color line or their volume line- do NOT use their slik therapy  shampoo OR condtioner- your extensions will SLIDE out- you CAN use the silk therapy silk sheen when u dry or flat iron your hair.

ok to wash- wet hair
use a small amount of shampoo and put on top of hair- later up
get another small amount and lather in your hands.
seperate your hair in bak like pig tails- wash both pig tails starting from top down and squeeze the shampoo into hair extensions. lather up and rinse all of it
conditioner- small amount on top-
another small amount from  pony tail down- DO NOT get any conditioner on bonds, locs or tracks
what ever method u have installed, keep cond. AWAY from the install site-
work the conditioner in hair, let sit for a few mins and rise good-
once you et out of shower- towel blot all your hair put the towel around your hair and squeeze moisture out-
use a wide tooth comb or hair pic and start from bottom up to get out any snarls.
use whatever products you need- again, keep away from install site- and proceed with drying.
hope this helps everyone...
