Date Posted: January 01 2003 at 10:28pm I have just dyed my natural dark brown (level 3) using a product call MC Max. The new color: sinful ruby (dark brown with a red base). There were no instructions as to what type of developer to use. The woman at the cosmetology school advised me to use a level 30 developer. I was not trying to go any lighter or darker with my haircolor, just change it from brown to red. Should I have used a lower volume developer? I`m pretty satisfied with this final color, but want to better understand how developer works. Thank you in advance. Kim
