hey all, im from the uk so ill try and go into detail when discribing the products i used! im naturally a 6 light brown with a strong copper gold undertones. i discisded to colour my hair with loreal colour experte in 4.0 dark brown base with light brown highlights 2 months ago, as the weather was quite nice a few weeks ago i descided to go lighter, i wanted to do this as quick as possible without many steps! i purchased loreal perfect blonde maxium with lightens your hair up to 6 shades, fab i thought, wacked it on left it on for 40 mins as per time limit, orange hair!!

next day ignoring the warnings i hot footed  to the super market and bought a box of loreal perfect blonde super which is the next strength down, lightens hair by 2 to 4 shades, and a box of loreal perference in shade 9.0 natural blonde, applied perfect blonde super, left it on for an hour! eek then applied the peference shade, orange had gone hurray :) but it was still yellowy gold, its a ok shade its liveable with, i have been trying to tone it down with john frieda purple tinted shampoo but has not made much difference!

can anyone recommed a super duper product or should i reach for the bleach again, like i said its not the be all and end all and im certainly not depressed about it! its been like this for two weeks, my hair was fine considering i bleached it twice over two days and i already have re growth crazy eh! :) thanks for reading, ps: im the one on the left :) x

Hi

Your hair looks like a golden blonde colour now, and it looks good.

The purple shampoos will not do anything to it as it is still too warm to tone with just the toning shampoo.

If you are looking to go blonder, you can now use a hi lift colour, but use one with a little ash tone to cancel out the warmth in your hair.

I am not to sure on box colours and if they have hi lifts colours (not meaning bleach)

As I only use professional colours, and not got much experience with box colours from drug stores, hoping someone else can recommend a good one. However if you have a Sally's beauty store near to you, you can buy a good hi lift from sally's. I have use Wella, L`Oreal and Schwartzkopf products, I find the best one is Wella hi lifts, mix with 40 vol of developer @ ratio of 1:2.
