I've got an appt coming up in about a month to get my hair cut again and highlights. Currently my hair is short and sorta spikey on top. I would describe it as a short faux hawk depending on how i style it. Its currently medium brown and i'm curious what color highlights look good on a guy with hair like this ? I've had it highlighted before and was never happy with it, because it always looked too yellow or orange. My hair stylist has guaranteed me it wont be orange this time (she's never highlighted it before so i'm trustful), but i'm also thinking that maybe i should take in a picture of what I want? or should I have ideas ahead of time instead of trusting her judgement? I really want to sit down and tell her I trust her best judgement but then again i don't wanna be dissapointed and she not have time to do anything about it before her next client.

any ideas or pictures would be extremely helpful !

I know nothing about highlights for guys...sorry.  But, go to this site and they have TONS of guys haircuts and most have highlights in them.  On the left hand side of the page, there are some links, the guys, color, and extreme links have some good picks.
