I'm trying to stop blow drying my hair all the time, but I'm not sure how to accomplish this. I'm trying to grow it to waist length, and I know that stopping blow drying will help limit damage. It's curly, about BSL, and very thick. It takes hours to dry on it's own. I get up at 5:30 am to get ready and drive to work as it is, so I don't want to get up even earlier so my hair can dry. If I wash it at night, I'm not sure how to get it refreshed in the morning so the curls don't look slept-on, or frizzy.
Any thoughts or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Well, I'm no expert but I've been reading a book I checked out at the local library called, "Curl Talk". Anyway, without breaking any copyright laws (I hope), the author suggests applying a leave-in conditioning spray in the morning and then using gel to style it.

Hi Hermione, welcome!
Caramia has some good ideas. After you wash your hair, use a towel to soak up the excess moisture and blow dry on no heat low fan speed until it's less damp (not even close to dry), this will help shorten the drying time. Hope this helps.
