Hi what is a really good conditioner that I can put on my hair after highlighting without worrying about it stripping my color?  I want to find something that will repair or prevent any further damage and keep my hair as healthy as possible.  What is a protein conditioner?  Thanks much!

Oh, lots of good conditioners! Big%20smile I always do a heavy protein treatment after bleaching/highlighting like: Nexxus Emergencee (love this one), Grund Tiger Reconstructor (fantastic) or Sebastian Penetraitt. Redken also has a few in the Extreme line (Extreme Fuel?). Follow it up with a heavy moisturizing treatment like: L'oreal Nature's Therapy Mega Moisture (my new favourite), Kerastase Masquintense (expensive, but good) or even Pantene's mask (time renewal?). Your hair will feel thick, strong and shiny if you do this consistently. Blonde hair needs protein, whether fake or real!Tongue

Oh, you're so welcome! You will love the Nexxus --- just follow it up with a moisturizing conditioner. Good luck!
