I just got copper blonde highlights done in my dark brown hair at the salon.  I am fair skinned, and the copper does not look good with my skin tone (or i don't think so, at least).  If I went back would they be able to cool it down with some ash blonde highlights or am I stuck with the yellow?

Oh yeah, they should be able to calm the colour down for you. If it's brassy, they just need to tone it with a neutral or an ash because it sounds like you want 'copper' which is a warm colour. Beware though: 'copper' is subjective. To me, it is an orangy brown colour that shimmers. You should bring in a picture of what it is exactly that you want. Hope it works out!
