I am in the mood to CUT, and in the mood right NOW... Summer is coming soon, that means warm weather, a nice tan, and either dealing with this growing out mess of a head of hair of mine, or this really neat, really blonde, really cute cut........Ok you can all tell where I`m leaning on this one.....I am afraid that I`m going to take the plunge, and I`m afraid that I`m going to regret my decision, but then again, I love short hair and I really do look better with it, I think so anyway. BUT then again, I LOVE long hair too. Thing is, is that the longer mine gets, the more thin and shaggy it looks. I just do not know what to do.....I know that I will only get support to keep letting it grow, and I appreciate you all, but I really do like this cut and think that I`m ready to take the plunge.

I`ve been trying to let my hair grow for some time now, but it`s just not working out.....but then again....

thanks Meg......:)

OK, maybe not THAT short, but pretty close to it.....I know that I can go as blonde as I`d like with short hair, cuz I`ve done that before. With the long hair, there`s just so much damage you can do, and I have to keep my hair light. Not bleached out white, but light.

I`m obsessing because I`m really nervous. I know when I get into the mood to cut, I usually end up doing it. Just need some words of support or whatever....thanks Meg

Meg, even IF you do cut your hair like that, it isn`t the end of the world. Ask yourself, do you want long hair just because you think you should or because you REALLY want it? A big part of you MUST want the long hair or you wouldn`t have even found posted on this particular site, correct? If you DO want to cut it in that particular style and you think you really do look better with short hair, then maybe that really is for you. Sometimes I think people get into these sites (myself included) and begin to think that it is blasphemous to cut their hair. You have to do what YOU want and what makes YOU feel good. I, myself have waist length hair and do really like it alot. I do, on the other hand, get like you and want a "Change" once in awhile. I know i probably would regret it however. The difference between you and I is that i DO NOT look good with short hair. You have to weigh it all out and really think about what looks best on you and what makes you feel better about you because you are the one wearing it. I hope i haven`t confused you more. Good luck!

Meg, this is the long hair support section, so I feel free to argue for long hair. I have looked at the photo at the URL you presented and you can be sure that I never would change a beautiful long hair against this result. "Cute" is something I don`t understand, but I know what kind of feelings long hair can cause. For me it is a source of never ending appreciation and admiration and I love it if women are in harmony with their hair. I got some friendly mail relations to long haired women (on this site and on other ones) and it really makes pleasure to talk about the hair and to express feelings for it. This is not the end of all, if beautiful feelings in view of common interests appear there are lot of things one can talk about. All of this comes from the long hair, I never would be interested to talk about short hair styles or cut off intentions, then I would better look at TV or solve mathematical problems. I think after the summer the next winter will come and how you will feel then? Hair can be easy cut but to let it grow is an experience for years. It is important that you want the long hair and then you will look at the people who encourage you with the hair, otherwise you give only frustration for this one. Short hair is something that is accepted by a lot of people but it is not very special and I myself see no reason to appreciate it.

I don`t know if I can reach you, but I hope I can transmit a little bit that long hair also has its friends.

Well, thanks Cinder and Wolfgang for your words of support! I do this once a month, every month of my life. I really do. If I can make it past this terrible craving, for lack of a better word, to get my hair all cut off, then I will be ok. I`m serious, I have a hard time with this. For some reason I just want to cut, cut, cut.......and then after some time has passed, I am most glad that I didn`t do it. But then again, I do love short hair. Sorry Wolfgang, but I do love the cut that I posted here and I think it is very sexy. A woman can be just as sexy, if not more sexy, in short hair. My husband says that he thinks I`m VERY sexy in short hair, and that I have a deliciously sexy neck! He loves it short and whenever I do get it cut, the first thing he says is "Why did you let it grow out in the first place?!".....Sexy and beauty have a lot more to do with self confidence and the way a woman carries herself than it does with hair anyway. I am confident that if and when I go short, I will be just as attractive, if not more so. So now, I guess I`m taking up for short hair....:)

Anyway, Cinder you had some really GOOD points. I do have to do what I think is best for me. That may be long, or it may be short. I`ve still not decided. It`s a tough decision. Once it`s gone, then it`s gone. So I`m going to think on this a bit longer.....thanks for the help........Meg

Just an update here.....I still love the cut and I still may do it, but for now, I went ahead and trimmed up a little and got most of this out of my system. I feel better and my hair looks better, so I`m somewhat satisfied. I still may do it however, just can`t get the nerve to take the cutting plunge just yet. I`m very glad for this board.... Meg

Hi Meg,

I am glad you didn`t cut your hair short. No offence to the girl in the picture, but I bet she`d look a whole lot cuter with long flowing hair, just as I believe you would too Meg.
I am a big fan of women who grow their hair long and then keep it and think it looks so sexy and so beautiful.
I am always willing to offer support to any woman out there who would like someone to chat with or email to discuss their long hair and any thoughts of cutting it. I certainly extend this offer to you Meg.
My email is johnrm@origin.net.au, and I promise to respond to you or any other lady who emails me ASAP.
I hope you keep your hair long.
Best wishes,
John
