I'm seriously considering putting my hair back in a low ponytail and cutting it off. I don't mind if it's uneven. I actually like those uneven, layered bobs. So I was just wondering if anyone has actually put their hair back in a ponytail and just chopped it off? if so, how did it look? |

I have not personally cut off a ponytail, BUT you can go to Utube and find tons of videos where the girl has cut the tail off and the new look is born. They can be quite dramatic based on the height of the pony upon its execution!

Thanks! I think if I put it in a low pony and cut, it might come out like a bob almost. My current hair cut is like a long shag....  See. |

It can be done and will have a very choppy look depending on how well you gather the hair in the ponytail. Please let us know how it turns out. ------------- HAWG |

pretty gutsy! did you do it high or low? What did it ultimatley look like, I bet its really funky choppy. Post a pic if you can, and congrats!

I did it low, because all of the damage was on the bottom half of my hair. I don't like it. It looks too blunt at the bottom.

My ex boyfriend did that. He had long curly hair. It did need some evening up afterward.
