I recommend the FHI 1" Ceramic & Tourmaline Platform. It is good for curly and frizzy hair because it uses far-infrared heat (up to 450 degrees F) and three types of nano technology (Nano Ti + Nano Ti02 + Nano Ag) to straighten really coarse or textured hair. Nano Titanium enhances the ionic effect, allowing the hair to absorb more moisture for superior conditioning & shine. Nano Titanium Oxide helps remove chemical pollutants and toxins which build up in your hair from normal exposure to the elements. Nano Silver removes harmful or damaging bacteria from the hair.
I don't think it comes in patterns like skull and crossbones, but I think it comes in different colors.

It retails at $299 but I found them for around $90 on this site:

I have used several really good flat irons. The new technology in flat irons (and hair dryers ) is amazing. I think that the best is GHD but the cost can be prohibitive.
I'm using Narrow Duality by Bespoke Labs.
It works well on my hair, keeps it straight all day. It is not cheap but less expensive than the GHD.
