I have a client coming in who used to have GL. She liked them, but can't afford to pay for the replacement costs. However, she did find that the GL were manageable for her to take care of...she didn't really lose any bonds. I would like for her to try another method, but I want to give her the durability she had with those GL's.

So does anyone know if GL uses polymide-type keratin pellets (clear, amber?), stick type keratin or any other type of keratin? I'll be making the tips myself with my wand. I know they are all  glues in that sense...it's all confusing! Also, from the looks of the system, they don't really use heat...possibly some type of radio frequency...am I wrong?

GL is just too costly for the training so I never bothered it. I have felt there were better alternatives Wink than name brands.

Thanks....

GL adhesive is supposed to be a very high quality, durable keratin.   The hair comes pre-tipped already.   I am not certified with GL, but I am certified with So Cap, and I think their keratin bonds are similiar in composition and durability.

If you want something more affordable, I have been having good luck with the http://www.donnabellahair.com - www.donnabellahair.com hair and rebonds.  They sell their rebonds in a package of 25 chips for $6.

I just ordered some of the super keratip rebonds from http://www.hairpiece.com - www.hairpiece.com , and once I give them a try and get some client feedback, I'll offer my opinion on that product.

The cold ultrasonic application machines seems to be a new trend in bond application.  I ordered an ultrasonic machine direct from China, but I didn't like the 'feel' of it so I don't use it.   I prefer a good, hot, ceramic fusion wand.
