Have you done this? What was your experience like? I have an appointment booked for today. I looked on the internet and didn't find that much information. I'm kind of nervous so any advice would be great.

if you straighten your hair proably like everday thats not good for
your hair, it damages it alot.. i have curly hair and i know how u
feel, but what i do in order to save me time from straighting my hair
is when i get dune taking a shower , i brush my hair really good, and i
don't tie my hair or anything untell its dune drying ,(air dryed) my
hair is allso long.....
then after that i would straight my hair, because it won't be as curly
or wave as it usaly is and its a little straighter, so when straighting
my hair its less time..
PERMING YOUR HAIR STRAIGHT ISN'T A GOOD WAY TO GO!! you will totaly
dammage your hair, i dune perming and wow i wish i never have. i have
eto live with frizz for the rest of my life now ...
